I always feel weird giving to Red Cross in situations like this when there is just so much and how much of it can they do themselves and yet get the hugest chunk of the funds. Not that they don't help, they do, a lot... but they also get so much money and the places that want to help locally and in smaller and yet more fundamental ways, don't have the resources to advertise their cause.
I know it's late now and you've probably update since this post (I'm working backwards and far behind) but I hope you and yours are well and that things are getting better.
